About Therapist Groups

Our Mission

At Therapist Groups, we are dedicated to fostering professional growth, collaboration, and meaningful connections among mental health professionals. We believe that when therapists support each other, the entire field of mental health care improves—benefiting both practitioners and their clients.

Our goal is to create a safe, enriching space where therapists can engage in ongoing learning, consultation, and self-reflection, empowering them to thrive in their work.

Our Core Values

Community

We connect therapists with peers who share their interests, approaches, and challenges.

Growth

We facilitate professional development through structured consultation groups.

Support

We provide a safe space for therapists to discuss challenges and share experiences.

Quality Care

We help therapists deliver better care through peer consultation and shared learning.

Our Story

Founded by therapists, for therapists, Therapist Groups was born from a deep understanding of the isolation that many mental health professionals face. Graduate school prepares us for clinical work, but it doesn't prepare us for the loneliness that can come with private practice.

As more therapists transition into solo work, the need for connection and professional support becomes even more critical.

We know firsthand that therapy consultation groups and support networks are essential—not only for maintaining high-quality therapeutic practice but also for the well-being of therapists themselves. That's why we're committed to helping clinicians across the country build strong, supportive relationships with their peers.

“Therapists often struggle to find the right consultation group. Options are scattered and hard to navigate. We created this platform to bring it all into one place, helping clinicians connect, grow, and support each other more easily.”

Our Vision for the Future

We envision a future where professional isolation is no longer the norm for therapists. As mental health care continues to evolve, we see Therapist Groups as a catalyst for:

Collaborative Practice

Moving beyond the solo practitioner model to interconnected networks of specialists.

Continuous Learning

Creating sustainable models for lifelong professional development and peer supervision.

Therapist Wellbeing

Prioritizing the mental health of providers as essential to quality client care.

By building this platform, we're not just connecting therapists today—we're helping shape a more collaborative, supportive, and effective mental health profession for tomorrow.

Why Consultation Matters

Professional growth doesn't end after licensure—it's a lifelong journey. Regardless of experience level, all therapists benefit from peer consultation. These groups offer a structured space for reflection, learning, and collaboration, which are essential for growth as a clinician.

By participating in a consultation group, you can:

1

Stay within ethical boundaries

Ensure you're working within your ethical and professional scope of practice.

2

Expand your perspective

Gain diverse perspectives that help uncover blind spots in your clinical work.

3

Build professional confidence

Foster a greater sense of confidence and safety in your therapeutic work.

4

Combat professional isolation

Build lasting connections with like-minded professionals who truly understand the challenges and rewards of being a therapist.
